Ahhhhhhh it had to end right?

Gracie hadn't been really sick since November.  We saw the pulmonologist a couple of weeks ago and I made the comment that she's been healthy for a couple of months and what happens?  She gets nasty nose boogies and then two days later it turns into a nasty cough.  Her strep test came back iffy so we changed antibiotics and yesterday she was put on a steroid for the cough.  The steroid worked wonders (I am knocking on wood as I type this) and has lessened it so she can sleep again.  I, of course, got a nasty sinus infection that was the result of nasty inventory last week (which resulted in 5 boxes of moldy books!)  FUN!  So both of us are on meds!  Never a dull moment in our house.

Gracie's speech progress is really starting to show.  Instead of "houf" she's saying "house" but she's still saying "huppy" instead of "puppy".  I'm really proud of her hard work.  She got knocked down by her friend the other day right before I came which resulted in a bloody nose.  When I walked in to get her, I saw the blood drip down her face and onto her shirt.  I think her teacher was worried about my reaction but I also know that being on a blood thinner makes it worse than it is.  I also understand how it is with 3 year olds...very much like middle schoolers.

We leave for Playa in a week.  So much to do in so little time. I can't wait though.  It'll be good for all of us!
