CNY & Valentine's Day

My first CNY/Valentine's Day with Grace was nice. We hung out and played together and then went over to Grammy & Pa's to go out and eat Chinese food with them. I gave Gracie a Yo Gabba Gabba DVD. It is my savior in the mornings. When she gets up (which is right before I do or shortly after I do) we go to the upstairs playroom/den and do a pulmocort nebulizer treatment while watching an episode of Yo Gabba Gabba. Then she will watch a second episode while I get ready for work. Biz's beat is one of Grace's favorite parts as well as Mark the art guy. She tries to imitate his beats and she waves at him when he waves bye-bye. She loves Plex and I think Tootie but Plex is her favorite. I think it's because she's as bossy and know it all as he is. Someone said to me that having to watch that all of the time would be horrible but as a parent of a child who loves it, you learn to embrace it because it does give you a few moments to get done what you need to get done.

Grace is getting tubes in her ears tomorrow. They moved it back and so it's throwing everything off. I feel horrible for her because they aren't doing the procedure until 2 p.m. and the latest she can eat is 6 a.m. She's going to be starving. I couldn't change the date of the procedure and they just told me about the change the day before (and I was the one who called them!) I'm not happy with the ENT's office. I love the doctor but they've had like 3 weeks to tell me they changed the time and I could have changed it to another date/time that wouldn't be as tough for us. Grace is a trooper though and will be okay. I plan on getting her up at the crack of 5 a.m. and feeding her well. She can have clear liquids up until 12. I have sprite and capri sun for her to help fill her tummy.
